These toys do more than buzz. The shaft thrusts in and out, a head taps or beckons, or a flapper knocks against one spot while the rest of the toy vibrates.
- Thrusting: an accordion neck or telescoping shaft pushes in and out.
- Tapping: a distinct knock against one spot, slower than vibration.
- Come-hither: a head that wags or beckons, like a curled finger.
- Controls: thrust and vibration usually run on separate settings.

What does a thrusting vibrator do?
The shaft moves in and out on its own while it vibrates. You hold it still, or mount it on a suction-cup base and let it do the work.
What is a tapping vibrator?
A toy with a tapping zone that knocks against one spot in a rhythm. Mad Tapper taps mid-shaft; Tunnel Tapper has tapping zones on both sides of its head.
Are there thrusting toys I can use hands-free?
Yes. Wildest Dreams and Monster's Ball thrust on a suction-cup base, and Monster's Ball adds a remote.
Is there a thrusting stroker?
