Compare the insertable length and diameter on the product page with something you already use. When in doubt, go smaller.

What is the difference between thrusting, tapping and rotating?
A thrusting toy moves in and out on its own. A tapping one stays put and taps a single spot. A rotating one turns beads or the whole shaft for a rolling feel.
What does a thrusting vibrator do?
The shaft moves in and out on its own, so you don’t have to. Most also vibrate, and the two can run together or separately. Hold it still, or mount it on a suction-cup base and let it do the work.

Vibration is a fast, even buzz. Tapping is a slower, distinct knock against one spot, closer to a fingertip than a hum. Mad Tapper taps mid-shaft; Tunnel Tapper has tapping zones on both sides of its head.
Are there thrusting toys I can use hands-free?
Yes. Wildest Dreams and Monster’s Ball thrust on a suction-cup base, and Monster’s Ball adds a remote.
Is there a thrusting stroker?
Get Your Stroke On has two beaded rings that thrust up and down while the inner channel vibrates.
What does a rotating vibrator do?
Part of the toy turns in circles while it vibrates, so the pressure moves around instead of staying on one spot.

They feel different rather than stronger. Thrusting is in-and-out; rotating is a stirring, rolling motion. Some toys, like All in One, do both.
Can rotation run without vibration?
On most of these, rotation and vibration have their own settings. Each product page lists the controls.
What is a suction sex toy?
A toy with a soft opening that pulses air, so it pulls and releases instead of buzzing. Body Kisses runs seven suction speeds.

A toy with two motors that reach two places at once, internal and external, or two internal spots.

Which toys are wearable, and how do they stay in place?
Strapless Seashell, Wear Me Out, Sweet Embrace and Snuggle Up are made to be worn, and all four have remotes. The undie vibes hold to fabric with a magnet; the strap-on vibes sit in a harness or shorts.

Silicone or glass?
Silicone is soft and flexible with some give. Glass is firm, holds temperature and feels smooth. Both are body-safe and easy to clean.
How should a harness fit?
Snug at the waist and thighs so the toy sits steady against the pubic bone, without pinching.

How do I choose a first plug?
Start with the smallest, softest shape and plenty of water-based lube. Every plug here has a wide base that stays put.

What is a stroker?

What are the best sex toys for trans women?
The prostate stays active on estrogen, so a curved, prostate-shaped plug is a common first toy. Grind pads, rings and strap-on vibes are the other favorites, and grind pads and wearables work externally, tucked or not.

Can I reach my prostate after vaginoplasty?

Only once your surgeon clears you. Your care team knows your timeline best, so ask them anything.
What should I start with after vaginoplasty or phalloplasty?
Something small and soft, used slowly with plenty of water-based lube, once you are cleared. External toys like a grind pad or a small vibe are an easy first step.
What if something hurts?
Stop. Go smaller, go slower, and check with your care team if it continues.
What is a packer, and how do I choose one?
A soft, realistic form worn in underwear for shape under clothes. Start with a size you’d wear all day. Silicone holds its shape; TPE is extra stretchy and squishy. Both are waterproof.

Most people start with 4 inches. It gives a natural profile without drawing attention.
How do I keep a packer in place?
Close-fitting briefs work for most people. A packing pouch or packing underwear adds a pocket so it stays put all day.
Silicone or TPE?
Both are latex free and waterproof. Silicone is durable, firmer, holds its shape and cleans up easily. TPE is extra stretchy and squishier, with a softer give.
How does a stand-to-pee device work?
A shaped cup seals gently against the body and a short spout points flow forward.

Start in the shower, then try at the toilet at home. Go slowly at the start of the stream until the seal feels right.
How do I get a good seal?
Press the cup up and slightly back, keep the spout angled down and relax your hips.
How do I carry a stand-to-pee device?
Rinse after use and keep it in a small zip pouch in your bag or pocket. Wash with soap and warm water at home.
What’s the difference between a packer and a stand-to-pee device?
A packer is for shape under clothing. A stand-to-pee device is a funnel for peeing standing up. Some STPs look realistic enough to pack with, too.
What are breast plates, and how are they worn?
Silicone breast forms built into a stretch vest, worn like a top. C, D and E cups, Light and Dark, phthalate and latex free. Same idea as breast forms, in a wearable, easy-on design.

Start with the size that suits your frame. If you’re between sizes, the smaller cup usually looks more natural on a narrower frame.
What measurements should I check?
Each plate lists its shoulder width, arm girth, upper and lower chest circumference and full length on its product page. The vest stretches to fit most.
Will a breast plate show under clothes?
The vest sits flat across the shoulders and back, with a natural shape and sway. A fitted T-shirt or a bra over the top helps it settle naturally.
Lube & cleaning
Keep it body-safe and keep it going.
What lube should I use?
Water-based. It works with every material, including silicone. Silicone lube can wear down silicone toys over time, and strokers want plenty of it.
How do I clean a toy?
Warm water and mild soap or toy cleaner after every use, then let it dry fully before you put it away. That goes for vibrators, plugs, dildos and rings.
How do I clean a stroker?
Rinse with warm water and mild soap, then let it dry completely inside before storing.
How do I clean a harness?
Wipe the straps with mild soap and water and let them air dry. Wash the toy separately.
How do I clean body gear?
Warm water and mild soap for everything. Pat breast plates dry and store them flat; let packers and stand-to-pee devices air dry fully. A light dusting of cornstarch keeps TPE from feeling tacky.
